Summer Appropriate Date Makeup

This was a look from Thursday, so sorry for posting this just now. Excuses, excuses, but my internet was totally throwing a tantrum. It hardly gives me problems, but once it does, it's major. Second time within a month, maybe.

To make a long story short, Ben visited me on Thursday. As usual, I wanted to get dolled up and look nice for the boyfriend. :D Because it is crazy hot outside, I didn't want to go heavy on the makeup. Especially not the eye makeup. Now that gave me the opportunity to play around with my Naked palette by Urban Decay. :D

Although what you see on the fourth picture is a simple, subtle look, there's still quite some drama action in the crease. Especially on the outer part. I used Darkhorse on that area. That color was also used along the upper and lower lash lines as well. Other than Darkhorse on the upper lash line, I had my brown Elf Liquid Eyeliner on too. Above the crease is Half-Baked and the brow bone highlight color I used is Virgin. On the lids are Sin and Toasted. For the finishing touch on my eye makeup, I swept The Falsies by Maybelline on my lashes. This is one of my new favorite mascaras, by the way. :)

What I liked about this look was how it made my eyes pop. Even though no bright rainbow colors were used in the look, my eyes still looked bright and alive that day. Neutral colors are very flattering to ANY eye color. They are easy to work with. Plus, you can wear them for any occasion.

I am very happy with my Naked palette. Its SURPRISING re-release was totally worth the wait. :)

Beautiful! I'm really loving this look. I like how you opted for an overall simple look, but still added a bit of drama to your crease :)

not bad, not bad. basta kung ayos kay ben, panalo na! hahaha <3

speaking of tagalog/english translation... tignan mo.. pag english, yung "NAKED" palette, it sounds sexy di ba? eh sa tagalog, it sounds FUNNY!

"HUBAD" palette! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! nakakatawa, pero it sounds bastos rin. akala mo eh porno ahahahaahahah!

:D

I LOVE FALSIES MASCARA NOW TOOO!!!!

How long does it take you to put make up on? I'm just curious... It takes me forever and I (still) always look weird after...

Wow! This style definitely does something to your eyes, but I can't point out HOW that happens! XD Good to know nude palettes make any eye colour pop :D Thanks for the make-up tips! Hehe ^^

yung last comment ko about "HUBAD" made me think of other things that were just completely wrong.

yung nivea kiss of smoothness merong SPF 4 :). ubos na eh, so ginagamit ko na ngayon eh yung recovery healing lip care with SPF 6.. do you wear lip glosses often?

ang init init na dito *_*. perfect na talagang gamitin tong lioele na to. all in one na kasi so far, wala akong weird awkward tan lines sa mukha. siguro kung hindi ako nag-protect, tan na siguro yung forehead ko o yung buong mukha ko... hindi naman ako nag papa-tan kasi prone na yung mukha ko from getting those brown spots x_x. di rin naman ako nag papaputi. so far naman, yung "whitening agent" sa liole, either na hindi gumagana sa akin, or it'll take more than a afew months for it to work.. o baka lang it lightens the brown spots from acne or brown sun spots?

i think masyado lang napatapat yung flash sa mukha ko kaya nag mukhang light x_x... i've only used it ones and i really like the coverage :D :D :D. wala siyang heavy feeling too. but i have these lines under my eye where liquidy foundations or concealers settle. i didn't use concealers and if you can see from my 'hat picture', nabura na ng onti yung foundation from my sweat (ang init kasi sa loob ng apt when i was cam whoring that day). may laura mercier ba sa jc penney nyo diyan? sa amin kasi wala eh :(. kung meron hingi ka na lang ng sample muna. NC 30 ako sa MAC and they gave me medium ivory kasi mas yellow siya compare sa bamboo beige. may bading rin na tumulong sa akin and boy... he seemed to have squirted half of the tube in the little container for the sample LOL! i don't know if he was being generous o napa sobra yung lagay niya on accident lol! i'll use more and possibly do a review sometime. do ko rin kasi magagamit to everyday kasi wala siyang SPF :(.

i saw na nag order ka na sa prettyandcute! excited to see what you got!!!

As I've reiterated many times before, I love the natural look, and I love how the darker hues of shadow make your eye pop out.

You know, I'm taking your make-up posts a lot more to heart now that I am starting to use make-up fairly regularly. Yes, I am late to the make-up milestone. I have no excuse! Before, the most effort I would muster is eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, and lipstick.. or any combination of them. Now, I'm trying to be a bit more complete.

I'll be looking to this blog for my regular dose of expert make-up tips. After all, we can learn something from everyone, provided we look. =)

cvs carries nyx? :( wow i didn't know! yung cvs namin tsaka walmart, they don't seem to carry the same items -_-. kindof like when i was waiting for the physician's formula heart blush, they never carried it.

di kasi ako masyadong nag li-lip gloss eh. i think out of my mini make up collection, i probably only have 5 lip glosses lol!

baka siguro, yung whitening sa bb cream eh for discoloration.. at least with th bb cream i use, it hasn't bleached my skin in any way lol! garlic? man, i have to try that lol! the only home remedy i know was using lemon for the face. kaso acidic siya so it'll have this burning/tingling sensation :p. lol remember tawas? i had an aunt who freakin use those crytal looking things to rub sa kili kili niyaand i guess on other dark areas like singit O_O

lol akala ko ma negrecommend nasayo before me lol but it's ok. with all the crap that i have to retain in my head for school, nagiging ulyanin na rin ako lol!

Hey, you look like Aubrey from the channel fafinettex3 on youtube! Haha! That's amazing! Just wanna ask if you're Pinay. Anyway, you're gorgeous! :)

OMG i was LMAO about the FRUIT TO FIGHT FUNK! AHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!

hhaha gulat ko nga at sinabi mo NYX at first. but naman at wet and wild nga ang ipinalit, mas marami silang eyeshadows and lipsticks (but i haven't tried any of their lippies yet)

yung lemon, i was first told that it can shrinks any active pimples that you might have. at the same time, it brightens the face. parang calamansi rin. i had a neighbor who would also rub calamansi on her knees and elbows to lighten them. i never really continued it because it's too damn acidic for the face.

yung sa kili kili, i've never tried deodorant don kasi i was only 12 bago kami nakarating dito lol! but yeah katawa naman yung "magsabaw yung kili kili" HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!

i used to always see that hair mayo diy on magazines many years ago! i've never tried it though kasi imagine ko mag amoy sandwich yung ulo ko ahhahaah!

I tried finding a link to your blog, but there is none. Hopefully you do have one. Would love to visit it. Take care and enjoy your day. :) And to answer your question, yes, I am Pinay. :)

nag improve nga ang mga lipsticks ng wnw ^^. i mean i don't have any yet but i've seen so many swatches online. pati na nga rin si temptalia, nag post na noon ng review about some of the wnw lipsticks :D

yung nyc konti nga ang seleksyon pero nakita mo na ba yung palette nila? maganda rin yung individual eye palette nila ^^. i didn't bother to make a review with mines kasi naunahan na ko ni christine sa temptalia (http://www.temptalia.com/nyc-union-square-eyeshadow-palette-review-photos-swatches)

don sa, lemon, ingat ka na lang, just don't use it everyday.

about doon sa ilong post ko... i've been wanting pa noon to post something along this topic.... i just didn't want to sound like i hate people who do decide to get plastic surgery. i mean, it's their face, and if that makes them happy, then go for it i guess.

i know to some people baka akalain nila, "wtf? ilong mo lang yan no.. just brush it off.." but in a way, it's kind of like when people talk about their weight. whether that person was teased because he or she was fat or was too thin. to me it was my nose (& my acne prone skin later on). it became into this sensitive topic for me. like foreal, as a child parang they drilled this thing into my head na "pango" = "panget". you know? but yeah people can be hella cruel, both family and peers. :(... but yeah, i just feel funny posting it though, kasi i could picture in my head na meron akong sipit sa ilong ko LOL

ita-title ko sana yung post ko with "PANGO". mas powerful ang dating di ba? LOL
